The purpose of the 501(c) tax exempt association is to stimulate interest in the fine arts. In order to achieve its purposes, the association has regular meetings on the third Tuesdays of September, October, January and February at the Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, 7000 Park Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Guest artists make presentations regarding their work and special techniques or give demonstrations, lessons or critiques of members’ works. Several exhibits of members’ works are scheduled throughout the year at a variety of venues in the Richmond area. Once a year we organize a Judged Exhibit where members’ works may be critiqued and awarded ribbons by a local professional artist/judge. A spring trip to art museums of interest is sponsored as well. An annual meeting and luncheon is held in May. Officers are elected to a two-year term. Committee chairs are appointed for a two-year term.
The Tuckahoe Artists Association has an exciting year planned to continue its long-standing dedication to artistic endeavors and appreciation!
